I have insisted on the thickest coats and the darkest, richest colors in the search for my rare beauties and feel that I have brought together a very special breeding program that reflects the best of the Schnauzer breed. I breed for both the Toy and the small Miniature sizes. We occasionally have Teacup Schnauzers too!
All of our Schnauzers are our family pets FIRST.
We pride ourselves on being a breeding program that is able to provide a pet home to our dogs although they are being bred. They are involved in our day-to-day life and activities. Each of our dogs have been housebroken and socialized from their start here with us. We place a great deal of emphasis in assuring that the dogs have wonderful, stable temperaments to pass along to their puppies. Our Schnauzers have free run of our fenced in back yard and also our home. We do practice crate training to ensure safety of our pets when we are not with them to supervise them, however. We generally try to retire our breeding females between the ages of 3-5 years old so they are still at a desireable age for adoption in to a new family. We are proud to inform you that we are AKC inspected as of 4/28/10 and are in 100% compliance with them!
I have three children and my husband that play a huge part in helping me raise and care for our
dogs and puppies! The kids are great help in socializing all of our dogs. My mom also gives us a big hand with raising these babies as well! There is rarely a dull moment around our home!
I currently work as a Hospice and Palliative Care registered nurse on weekends. My husband and I work opposite of one another so someone is always home to care for our children and our dogs... When we are not able to be here, my mother is a huge part of being hands on with our dogs and our puppies. This is truly a family effort in providing quality care and love to our Schnauzers!
Our litters are born in our home with direct hands on supervision during the entire whelping. The puppies are handled daily by each of us and are introduced to house noises and many different stimuli as they grow and develop. All of our puppies are well socialized!!
Puppies have their tails docked and dew claws removed at 3-4 days old. Our puppies remain here with us until they are a minimum of 8 weeks of age. When you receive your puppy from us he or she will have been administered age appropriate inoculations and worming medications. Each puppy will be taken to my vet for a health examination prior to leaving my care. Our puppies will come home to you with a puppy starter kit full of valuable information and his/her first toy!
I feel very strongly that my job is not finished when our puppies leave to go to their new homes. I encourage every new owner to stay in contact with me and I frequently check in our puppies just to offer support or to see if the new owner has any questions or concerns. I am committed to being a responsible and loving breeder!
